The Kennebec River is one of Maine’s largest and most diverse trout fisheries.  It is home to native brook trout and nonnative landlocked salmon, rainbow trout and brown trout.  While the lower river is stocked, the middle river is a mix of stocked and wild fish, and the upper river is an unstocked wild trout fishery.  We offer wade and float trips on four sections from The Forks to Madison.

Maine is home to some of the last native brook trout lakes and ponds in the country.  There are over 600 self-sustaining waters, and numerous others that are maintained through stocking.  The ponds we fish are small, undeveloped and outside the power grid.  Most are accessed via unmarked dirt roads and trails.  We fish these waters using canoes and float tubes.
