The Dead River is a remote and undeveloped wild trout and salmon river.  It is home to native brook trout and nonnative landlocked salmon and rainbow trout.  There are two sections we fish, above Grand Falls and below Grand Falls.  We offer wade trips only.

Maine is home to most of the remaining wild native brook trout lakes and ponds in the country.  There are over 600 self-sustaining waters, and numerous others that are maintained through stocking.
