The Kennebec River is one of Maine’s largest and most diverse trout fisheries. It is home to native brook trout and nonnative landlocked salmon, rainbow trout and brown trout. While the lower river is stocked, the middle river is a mix of stocked and wild fish, and the upper river is an unstocked wild trout fishery. We offer wade on four sections from The Forks to Madison, and float trips on one section.
